My Travel Bucket List

Hi! Hope you are all doing well! Today I am sharing my travel bucket list. Personally, I love traveling. I have only been out of the US once to Mexico(Which I loved and would go to again). So here are all the places I would love to go to.

Holland

My family is from Holland which is the main reason I would love to visit there. I also love Dutch food and the views there.

London

I would love to go to London and its museums because I know there is a lot of history there. If you can’t tell already, I like trying different food from countries so I would love to try authentic British meals.

Greece

The views of Greece are gorgeous! I mean who would not want to go see those views! Also, the water is soo pretty!

Japan

There are endless activities to do in Japan. I am obsessed with these videos of people getting all of these cool, interesting foods in Japan and I am so jealous because we don’t have very many of those foods where I live.

France

I think you all can figure out why I want to go to France. I would love to go see the Eiffel Tower and try all the delicious food. I have also heard that they have superb coffee.

Australia

Ever since I was really little I have always wanted to go to Australia. When I was little I probably wanted to go to see kangaroos, and it hasn’t changed much. lol No, but seriously I really want to go to Australia Zoo. I have been obsessed with their youtube channel lately, and I also appreciate how much care they put into their animals.

Hawaii

My parents and grandparents went here and they both talk about how wonderful it was to go here. They also say how the weather is perfect all the time and how clear the water is. I for sure want to go to Hawaii someday soon.

That is my travel bucket list! I don’t know if I will be able to go to all of these places, but who knows! I hope you enjoyed reading this post! What are some places you would like to visit?

Five Things NOT to Do When Practicing as a Musician

Hi! hope your day is going great! Today I am sharing things NOT to do when Practicing as a musician. Whether you play- piano, guitar, violin, or clarinet, these tips will help you know what not to do when practicing them.

Don’t over-practice. You may be like “But wait!? I thought I should practice as much as I can?” Yes, you should, but if you sit down and practice for hours straight, your hands will get tired, your mind, and your playing will become sloppy. What I mean by sloppy, is that you will start to mess up a lot more than you usually do. I would recommend practicing in sessions of 15 minutes to an hour.

Don’t keep playing the same mistake over and over. I see so many younger students who are just starting out at playing a new instrument do this. Don’t keep playing the same mistake over and over. All you’re doing is teaching yourself to keep playing the same mistake. Trust me, it is much easier to fix a mistake early on when learning a piece than it is months later. If you fix the mistake right away you will not have the probability of playing that mistake over and over.

Don’t be too hard on yourself. I use to do this a lot myself. I would start playing and get frustrated that I was not able to play the music right away. Don’t do that! It takes time and practice to learn a new piece of music. Nobody should be expecting you to play a new piece of music perfectly the first day you are learning it. Just remember, it takes time and practice. So don’t tear yourself down if you are not able to play the piece of music well the first day you are learning it.

Playing a new piece of music as fast as you can. I see so many people do this, even with their older pieces of music. It is okay to start off slow when learning a new piece. In fact, it Is better to start slow because then you will not make as many mistakes. Playing slowly will give you time to think about the notes and how you are supposed to play them. Once you know all the notes and how the music is supposed to be played, then play it at the speed it is supposed to be played at.

Don’t forget to listen to the piece before playing it. If you have never heard the music that you are trying to learn, be sure to listen to it before playing it. This ensures that you know how it is supposed to sound. Trust me, this has helped me learn a piece much faster when I listen to it before I start to play it.

Those are the five things not to do when practicing as a musician. Hope you enjoyed reading this post and learned something new! Have a great day!

Fun Activities to Do On Your Birthday

Hey! I hope your day is going great! Today I will share some fun activities to do on your birthday! I have done some of these and they have always turned out great! So if you want to do some games or activities on your birthday, here are some ideas!

Make a game about you. I did this with Kahoot for my sixteenth birthday and it was so much fun to see what people thought of me. All I did was make a quiz with a ton of questions about me (like what’s my favorite color, what is my favorite animal, what is my middle name is, etc.). It’s very easy and a lot of fun.

Go to an escape room. This would be a great activity if you have a small group of friends for your birthday.

Have everyone guess what you are going to do in the future. Make a card and write down stuff like what kind of house I will live in, how many pets I will have,

Karaoke. If you are brave enough to sing in front of people karaoke would be a ton of fun! Even if you don’t think you have a good voice karaoke is always fun!

Play your favorite sport. I know one of my friends has done this before with volleyball. They rented a gym but you could go to a sand court (if your birthday is in summer) if you don’t want to spend money. You could do this with tennis, basketball, soccer, and so many more sports.

Go to the beach. If you love the beach and live near one this would be a ton of fun. If you don’t live near one you could make it a trip to go to the beach.

Go on a hike/nature walk. I did this with my mom for her birthday and it was fun and it was free! This is perfect for people who do not want to spend that much.

Go to Top Golf. If you like to golf this would be very enjoyable for you. Even I don’t care about golfing but this is really fun, especially if you go with your friends. It is not as hard as regular golfing. As long as you can hit a golf ball with a golf club then you should be good. Mini golf would also be fun if you don’t like playing with a regular golf club.

Food tasting. If you love food, and trying new food you would love this activity. There are food packages online that you can order that have different kinds of food (like food from different countries). Here is a link that has food sampling from different countries. Another fun thing would be coffee taste testing.

Have a game night. Board games or card games, this would be a ton of fun! Or you could choose a longer game (like Monopoly).

That’s all for this post! I hope you found some new ideas for activities to do on your birthday! Have a great day!

My Favorite Songs to Play On the Piano

Hi! I hope your day is going great! Today I am sharing some of my favorite songs to play on the piano. I will link some of the music in case you wanted to see or play the music.

Salut d’amour, Op.12 by Edward Elgar. This song is so pretty, and I would love to play it in front of people someday, maybe for a wedding or an event.

Sonate No. 8, “Pathétique” 2nd Movement by Beethoven. This song looks hard, but it is not as hard as it looks. It is a very slow song which makes it easier to play.

Golden hour – JVKE. I love this song by JVKE. It is so pretty, and I could listen to it for hours. As soon as I heard it I knew I had to learn how to play it on the piano.

What Falling in love feels like – jake25.17 (fanmade extended version). If you have not heard this song you need to listen to it now! It’s so pretty! I still haven’t completely learned this song, but I still like to play it. lol

When will my life begin? From Tangled. If you did not know, I love the movie Tangled and all of the songs in it. Two years ago, I finally got the music book for it. So now I can play these songs whenever.

It Is Well With My Soul Composed by Horatio Spafford and Philip Paul Bliss. I love playing this song at church because of all the different ways you can play it.

Pure Imagination (from Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory) – arr. Root Beer I love this movie and song. This is also my favorite arrangement of this song.

Hope you hope you enjoyed this post! What are some of your favorite songs to play? Have a great day!

Spring Nail Inspo

Hey! I hope your day is going great! Today I am sharing some spring nail inspo. I just got into gel nails and gel x nails. I am obsessed and never go back to regular nail polish. Seriously though, gel is so much better in my personal opinion. I am sharing these in case you want to do them yourself or show them to your nail technician. Here are the inspo photos. I got all of these photos from Pinterest.

Those are all of the photos! Hope you enjoyed looking at them and found some inspiration! Have a great day!

Hi! I’m back! | What I’ve Been Up To

Hey! Hope your day is going fantastic! I know I have been gone for a while, and I am so sorry about it. I took a long break because I was focusing on school, music, and my job.

So you may be wondering what I have been up to. Well… I started a job. So far, I love working there. It is a great work environment, and I have a good boss. I did a writing class this year so hopefully my writing has improved. I also coached volleyball for a little bit which was a ton of fun. The team I coached won two tournaments and got second in the last one. They were in fourth and fifth grade so it was so cute to see them excited about winning and playing volleyball. I also started teaching piano to one student in October, but sadly, she quit. To be honest I have no idea why. I thought our lessons were going great, and it seemed like she was enjoying it. I feel like I would have sensed it if she did not like piano lessons. They did cancel on me a lot which was hard on her and me because she wouldn’t learn as quick if she only has two lessons a month. So now I don’t know if I am going to keep teaching.😬

Anyways… that is what I did this month. I am hoping to post a lot in the summer. But we shall see because I am also going to try to get a lot of hours in at work. I am super happy to be back blogging! I definitely missed it.

Hope you have a great day!

Christmas Party Ideas

Hey! Hope your day is going great and you are drinking lots of hot cocoa! (: Today I am sharing some Christmas party Ideas to do! I love going to Christmas parties and I love hosting them. So here are some ideas that I came up with.

Stocking exchange. Everyone brings a stocking with things inside of it to the party and exchanges it with someone. So it is kind of like a white elephant gift exchange but with stockings.

Charcuterie Board Christmas themed. What I mean by this is that everyone brings a charcuterie board but on the board are all Christmas desserts. For instance, one person brings a board with all hot chocolate stuff and another person brings one with Christmas cookies, etc.

Go look at Christmas lights with your friends. Have your friends meet at your house and make some hot cocoa and go in your car and look at Christmas lights in neighborhoods while you drink hot cocoa.

Christmas movie marathon. This would be some much fun to do! Some great movies to watch for a Christmas movie marathon would be Elf, Home Alone, Home Alone two, A Christmas Story, and The Grinch.

Christmas pet party. If you have pets and your friends have pets through a Christmas pet party! Have everyone dress up their pets in cute Christmas outfits and be sure to have lots of treats for your furry friends! If you do this make sure that all the animals get along together before putting them together.

Christmas Craft Night. You can make crafts, or if you have a small group of friends have them bring their favorite crafts, and you all make it together.

Cookie decorating. I know everyone does this, but you can not go wrong with decorating cookies! It is always so much fun and fun to eat them too! (;

Around the world (the ways different cultures celebrate Christmas). This is a great way to learn about the different ways cultures celebrate Christmas! Have everyone brings either food from that culture that they eat during Christmas and maybe something from the culture or a fun fact about how they celebrate.

I hope this gave you some ideas! Have a great day!

First Blogmas Post! | My Christmas Wish List

Hey! I can’t believe it is already December! And it is only 25 days till Christmas!! I am going to try to post ten Christmas-themed posts! So keep your eye out for all of those! Also, there is a Christmas playlist on the side of my blog if you want to listen to Christmas music while you read this post. (;

I am very excited to do this and I hope you all are too! On that note, here is my Christmas wish list!

Travel organizers. I love traveling and so these would be very nice for packing so my stuff doesn’t get unorganized.

Gel polish remover kit. I have been into doing gel nails lately, so this would be very handy.

Claw clips. I love these clips and I am also obsessed with these colors.

Digital alarm clock. I do not have a clock right now in my room so this would be nice to have plus it is an alarm clock as well.

Tall Glass Cups. I love making iced coffee, so these would be perfect to drink iced coffee in.

Gel polish brushes. These are so cute and perfect for doing designs on nails.

Wireless earbuds. I need these for school and also these are perfect for car trips because there are no wires to get tangled up.

Gold earrings. These are so cute! Also, I have been obsessed with hooped earrings.

Volleyball hitting trainer. This is super cool. What you do is you hang it on a basketball hoop and you can practice hitting a volleyball.

Clear organizers. I plan to put these in my drawers so that I can organize everything better.

That is it for my wishlist! I hope you enjoyed reading this! Keep your eye out for more Christmas posts to come!

Four Ways to Get Motivated To Clean and Declutter

Hey! Hope your day is going great! Today I am going to do a post that I have never touched on which is cleaning. Personally, I don’t mind cleaning, but when it comes to my room… that is a different story. Anyways here are some tips that I have found to motivate me to clean (especially my room lol).

Watch Organizing or Cleaning videos. Lately, I have been obsessed with watching organizing and cleaning videos (here is a link to a video if you want to check it out), and after I watch them it gives me a ton of motivation to clean and organize my stuff. So I would say give it a try and watch some of the videos.

Listen To Music or a Podcast. This gives me so much motivation to clean and to keep cleaning! Find your favorite playlist, turn on the radio, or find a podcast and enjoy the music/podcast while you clean.

Invite a friend or a family member over to have a reason to clean. This is a great way to get yourself to clean your house. Because when you’re by yourself, you probably don’t want to clean because it’s just you, but if you have someone over you will have a reason to clean.

Get cleaning/organizing items. Personally, I like having the right items for cleaning instead of just a wet rag. An actual cleaner will get the job done and make it look nice. If you are organizing stuff, get organizers or clear small containers for drawers. All your stuff will look much neater if you organize it.

Hope you found these helpful! What are some ways of motivation that help you clean or organize? Have a great day!

Circle mirror. I have been wanting one of these for a while for my room. Believe it or not, I do not have a big mirror in my room. lol

Tea. I know this is super random, but I have been into making my own bubble tea, and I am running out of tea. So I would love to get some new tea specifically, matcha, taro, black tea, and butterfly pea.

Ukulele. I love to play the ukulele, it is so much fun, but right now I have a little cheap one someone gave me. I like it, but I would love to have one that is nicer quality.

Three Easy Ways To Save Money

Today I am going to share three easy ways to save money. If you want to save up for a vacation or the gas prices are taking a toll on your bank account, here are some ways to help you save money.

  1. Coupons. There are so many coupons online and in the mail. Just go online, search the store you are going to, and look for coupons. I always look to see if there are any coupons online before I go to the store. There are several websites where you can search the store, and many coupons will appear. A couple of them are, Retail me not, Honney, and Capital One Shopping. Many of those coupon websites are for online shopping as well. Many stores and restaurants/fast foods have apps, and a lot of the time, that place puts coupons or deals to help you save money.
  2. Don’t Buy Something You Don’t Need. We’ve all done this before. You go into a store and find a cute pair of shoes or a little Debbie cake, you want to buy it, but do you actually need it? It is amazing how much money you will save if you don’t spend your money on something you never needed. Another way people waste a lot of money is by buying overpriced coffee. If you buy a six-dollar drink say, 5 days out of the week that is thirty dollars right there. There is nothing wrong with getting a drink once in a while or buying a pair of shoes, but if you do it a lot then the money is going to start to add up. Just ask yourself before you buy something “Do I need this?” then decide whether you should buy it or not.
  3. Make Budgets on Your Spending. If you are having trouble keeping track of your spending, make budgets for everything. Some specific things you could make a budget for are food, coffee, and clothes. Look at your income, then decide what would be a good budget for different things.

That is three easy ways to save money. Personally, these have helped me throughout the years to save money. If you have any tips, share them in the comments for everyone else to read! Have a great day!

It’s Been A While… | What I have been doing All Summer

Hey guys, let me first say I am so sorry for not posting all summer. I kind of got caught up in school at the end of the school year and did not have too must inspiration to post. Then I went to camp right after I finished school, and now I am going to another week of camp. Anyways, here are some photos from my summer and a little background information about them.

Taro 😋😍

One thing I did this summer, was I drank a lot of bubble tea and I experimented with different recipes. I am thinking about posting my recipe so keep your eye out for that.

The organist at the cubs game. I thought it was cool that they still have an organist.
Guaranteed Rate Field

The next thing me and my family did was we went to a Cubs game and a Sox game (I’m a Cubs fan FYI, but my mom is a Sox fan and the tickets were free so that is why we went to the sox game).

CrAzY dog

I also hung out with my grandparents a lot. They have a dog named Trivette who is sooo cute but also kind of crazy. lol

I did a lot of other things like, went to a ton of graduation parties, went back and forth to my camp (because my brother works there this summer), I got to ride in a limousine for the first time on the way to Thor Love and Thunder (for a sweet sixteen B-day) and practice piano… a lot. lol

So that is what I did a lot this summer. Hope you guys have a great rest of your summer I am planning on trying to post more often, but I do have school starting August first and volleyball which also starts August first. What are some things you have done this summer?
