Happy Easter! Easter Bunny Photo Shoot

Happy Easter everyone! Hope your day is going great! Today my family and I went to church. Then we went home and ate at a local diner for dinner.

Don’t forget the real reason for Easter! That is Jesus died on the cross and rose again on the third day. And because he did that we can go to heaven if we believe in him. Have a great Easter!

Rabbit’s Diet | Foods They Should and Should Not Eat

When most people think about a rabbit’s diet, they think about bugs bunny and how all he eats is carrots. Well… believe it or not, rabbits do not just eat carrots. In fact, it’s not good for them to eat a lot of carrots and they could get sick if they eat a lot because of all the sugar in carrots.

A rabbit’s diet should consist of water, fresh vegetables, timothy hay, and timothy hay pellets (and a treat once in a while😉). Depending on how big your rabbit is you should give them about a cup to three cups of leafy greens a day. Timothy hay pellet’s you should give about 1/4 cup for every five pounds the rabbit weighs. And you should always have an unlimited amount of timothy hay and water.

Here is a list of foods they can eat and can not eat. When I put a small amount by the food that means only a tablespoon.

Foods Rabbits Can Eat

• Romain Lettuce
• Small amount of bananas
• Small amount of apples
• Parsley
• Carrot tops
• Small amount of carrots
• Radishes
• Radish Tops
• Bok Choy
• Small amount of raspberries
• Small amount of strawberries.
• Wheat Grass
• Arugula
• Small amount of Cucumbers
• basil
• Small amount of spinach

Foods Rabbits Can Not Eat

• Avocados
• Bread
• Pasta
• Yogurt drops
• Chocolate
• Walnuts
• Peanut Butter
• Meat
• Rhubarb
• Hamster food
• Potatos
• Tomatoes
• Eggplant
• Cat food
• Dog food
• Apple Seeds
• Dairy products

Remember, rabbits are herbivores so they only eat plants. Don’t feed them any junk food or meat. It could kill your rabbit. Be cautious about how much fruit they can have because fruit has a lot of sugar in it. They can have fruit, but it’s more of a treat than their day-to-day diet.

If your rabbit is not eating or drinking, take them to the vet right away. That is a sign of sickness. Here is a post about What to Do If Your Rabbit Is Sick.
